When I first arrived at the spa I was greeted by the staff. We promptly started on an assessment of my skin and trouble areas, which included a paper application about my daily habits of physical activity, water intake, and diet. The skin technician went over any concerns I had about the process. My biggest goal for the treatment was to aid with my hormonal prone skin and cultivate a sense of calm.
At the start of the treatment the skin technician started with a warm facial steam. The purpose was to open up my pores for the cleansing process. It was a relaxing process as the technician rubbed my skin in combination with the steam.
Once the cleanser was removed it was the prep step to extract any dirt and oils from my skin. My skin felt clean although a bit tight at this point.
She added a serum to help the next step of using the hydrafacial wand. I felt a soft vacuum-like grip on my face that sucked any impurities away. Each swipe made a sucking noise (think of a kissing sound) and once it was complete she showed me all the gunk that came from my pores. Gross yet satisfying.
My session concluded with collagen drops to soften my skin with a combination of oxygen to bring an instant glow. Oxygen helps to feed the skin by producing collagen and firming up skin to prevent fine lines and wrinkles. I had a few giggles, since this process can tickle some, but after a while I began to enjoy the cool air.
After the treatment was over my face glistened and felt refreshed. I couldn’t believe how good I looked as I left Anara Medspa & Cosmetic Laser Center.
