Transforming Oral Care for the Better: Q & A with Josh Snow CEO of SNOW

A digital marketing prodigy at a young age, Josh Snow created SNOW, one of the best oral care lines on the market, to deliver professional-level results right in your home. SNOW has elevated teeth whitening systems around the world. Josh spent years fine-tuning his award-winning products that have changed lives for the better. I had the pleasure of speaking with him to hear his fascinating and inspiring story. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this…

Thank you so much for doing this with us! Before we dig in, our readers would like to get to know you. Your back story is quite impressive starting your own company at the age of 13. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got to where you are today.

Yes! To start from the beginning, my family immigrated from Spain to America before I was born. I grew up watching them work really hard to make sure we had what we needed. And at around the age of 13 years old, I noticed they had to spend so much of their extra money every year on my school supplies. I thought to myself, “There’s gotta be a way I can help.”

It wasn’t that I felt we were poor, or that they needed me to step in, it was just something I wanted to do. Family is very important to me and being able to help out was something that brought me a sense of fulfillment early on. I wasn’t sure how I was going to be able to make the money, because no one was going to hire me at 13, but I knew I had the resources to figure it out.

I was fascinated by computers, and visited the local library as much as I could to get on the internet and learn. Then, I started building websites for friends… and by 14, I was making money. One of the moments I’ll never forget is when I walked into a store with my parents and bought my own socks. I was hooked, and made a goal to eventually buy myself a car. I started learning ads, marketing, and SEO to expand my website services.

At 16, I bought my first car and started an online advertising agency. It grew significantly and sold for over 8 figures. While I should have felt accomplished at that point and had all the money I thought I would ever need for myself and my family, I felt empty. Then I realized that my purpose was much more. I wanted to help people all over the world, and now, it’s what I work towards every single day.

Why did you decide to create your own teeth whitening line, and what was the motivation behind it?

I was right out of high school when my agency sold, and I had no idea what I should do with my life next. I felt like I had achieved so much, but my confidence and mental and physical health was at an all-time low. That’s when I really started taking time to think about my purpose and focus on my health. I didn’t have much access to dental care growing up, so I started there. I had TMJ and I ended up needing jaw surgery. Paying more attention to my teeth, I noticed how yellow they had become and began research on teeth whitening options.

I tried multiple kinds of over-the-counter whitening strips, which ended up hurting my sensitive teeth and didn’t show much improvement. Once the strips didn’t work, the only other option was to go to the dentist’s office. The problem was: it was still going to hurt my teeth, but I wanted the results, so I made an appointment with my regular dentist anyway, hoping we could discuss some solutions. Then, as I was sitting in the waiting room, it hit me… I am sure I wasn’t the only person with sensitive teeth looking for whitening options that actually worked without additional pain and expensive dental appointments.

I got called back into the room for my appointment and my brain was spinning with ideas. And instead of asking more about how my teeth could get whiter, I asked their thoughts on teeth whitening products. During that conversation is when my vision for Snow® started. I found purpose in that moment, too. Giving people the ability to feel confident in their smile again impacts their life way beyond dental health. It gives them the strength they need to get out of bed, to go on that first date, to get that job interview, take that picture, and start feeling alive again.

What are your most popular products, and do you have any personal favorites that you use daily?

Our most popular products are our at-home Teeth Whitening Kits, Teeth Whitening Strips, and LED Electric Toothbrushes. I personally use our LED Electric Toothbrush daily, with our Whitening Toothpaste and the Water Flosser.

How do you see SNOW evolving in the future and will you be producing any new products?

Snow is constantly evolving, fueled by our passion for innovation and deep commitment to our customers. As part of this, we prioritize maintaining a strong connection with our customer base, actively involving them in our development process and valuing their input. A recent initiative included a survey where customers had the opportunity to select new color options for our upcoming LED Electric Toothbrushes. And, we have expanded into additional product categories, such as lip and facial care. Looking to the future, Snow aims to continue exploring new areas and technologies to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations by developing more groundbreaking products that continue to redefine beauty and wellness standards.

What sets your brand apart from others and what are the most important skills you have learned from experience to be successful?

What we believe what sets Snow apart from the competition is our relentless commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. Our purpose isn’t just to sell products, it’s to provide solutions that improve our customers’ lives. We combine cutting-edge technology with user-friendly designs, making sure that every product not only meets, but exceeds expectations. This has built our loyal customer base and positioned Snow as a leader in the oral care industry.

The most important skills I’ve learned from building this brand started with learning to listen to the customer. Understanding their needs and feedback is pivotal. It has driven our product development, ensuring we create products that people love and trust. There is also adaptability and perseverance. Adapting to new market trends and learning to overcome challenges has allowed us to continue our growth. Building a brand doesn’t happen overnight. It takes patience, resilience, and a continuous effort to maintain our commitment to quality and innovation.

Just for fun. Is there a person in the world, or in the US, with whom you would like to have a private breakfast or lunch, and why?

Choosing just one person is difficult because I enjoy in-depth conversations about philosophy, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. But, Naval Ravikant would be high on my list. His insights into wealth creation, technology, and the human condition have always been fascinating to me. The opportunity to discuss his perspective on living a fulfilling, significant life while navigating the modern world would be invaluable.
