Hybrid fashion production house and fashion show producer Runway 7 showcased the latest in emerging and established designers this past September for Spring/Summer 2024. Runway 7 runs in parallel to New York Fashion Week and for this season, they expanded their lineup with 100+ designers spread out into an amazing 4-day weekend. We’ve got the rundown on the latest in kids and young adult fashion, bridal and more of our favorites from Runway 7 this season.
This season, Runway 7 hosted several designer showcases showing the best in bridal. Here is a recap on the latest trends and glamorous looks for next Spring Summer 2024 for the bride and their attendees.
Ella Noire Couture

Bridal beats were not missed in Ella Noire Couture’s showcase. Founded by Derelya Webster, Ella Noire Couture is a part of After Five Prom and Bridal couture wear that offers custom dresses and stylist support.
This season’s collection focused on clean necklines, perfect whites, and elegant detailing with subtle gemstone patterning and draping bead-work.

Classic princess style dresses made for a heart-stopping moment. Mermaid fitted dresses also graced the stage in decorated flair. The collection also showed asymmetrical styling with single sleeve and expertly placed ruffles to draw the eye onto an elegant diagonal.

A particular standout piece was a mermaid bridal dress with draped beads on a slick silhouette over a nude under layer akin to the pearl dress worn by Miss France Floriane Bascou.

Atelier Non Vanilla

Atelier Non Vanilla brought a brilliant showcase of bridalwear for Runway 7 audiences. Founded by Peruvian designer Mercedes Luna, the brand brought some serious glam to the runway at Sony Hall.

The collection used gemstone detailing as a recurring feature, seen on bodice boning, dress embellishments, and head accessories. Head pieces were laid with rhinestone pieces, glimmering from afar, yet maintained a delicate subtle beauty. The glistening aspects of dresses always remained elegant and sophisticated across the collection.

The collection for Spring Summer 2024 also included the weekend’s first look into jumpsuits and pants as bridalwear. Shoulders were emphasized on blazers, dresses, and padded capes. Pantsuits featured a deep-v overlaid on top of a sheer full length sleeved top.

Atelier Non Vanilla is designed by Mercedes Luna and based in San Borja, Peru. The brand specializes in haute couture bridal and evening gowns stating they are for the bold and unique. With this grand entrance into the New York fashion scene at NYFW, their slogan of “statement dresses for statement brides” is loud and clear.

Elizabeth Munoz, atelier of bridal and party dresses, showcased her latest collection in bridal wear entitled Ella. This season focused on lace detailing and intricate rhinestone additions.

Her collection included princess, mermaid, and sheath styles dresses, all with a romantic lace overlay. Collection pieces also featured a one-shoulder design, detailed embroidery, slim fit for a slick silhouette, and a deep fissure neckline.

Elizabeth Munoz is a Peruvian based atelier for bridal and evening wear. Her custom made pieces are internationally appreciated with multiple shows in the USA and a celebrity appearance on the gorgeous Miss Peru 2023 Camila Escribens at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sonal Couture showcased their “Timeless Allure” Collection for audiences at Sony Hall. The collection contained glamorous evening wear and modern luxurious takes on classic Indian attire.

Embellished lehengas and cholis took to the runway. Models walked with capes, sheer arm coverings, ruffled skirts, and extravagant headdresses.

The showcase also featured extravagant apparel wearable for men and wedding guests. Highlight pieces showed full coverage attire, ornate details on dresses, floral embellishments, shoulder ruffles, and monochromatic shimmering fabrics.

Sonal Couture is founded by the multi-talented Sonal Dua Yakhmi. No stranger to the beauty industry as a published model, fashion blogger and stylist, Sonal debuted multiple collections this past NYFW including her Hue Harmony and Majestic Runway collections.

Anjali Phougat – Dream Design Collection

Dream Design Collection returned to the Sony Hall stage from last New York Fashion Week. Founded by Anjali Phougat, the DDC showcase this season was not any less extravagant than the last, displaying luxury South Asian looks.
The collection featured a play on sheer, satin and shimmering textiles. Several models wore suits, some with ruffle caplets, with organza trains that they expertly swung around them.

The collection also delivered bold attire in deeper hues. Navy, burgundy and black made an appearance giving a sense of royalty.
Many of the pieces appealed to a more mature audiences. From the brighter textiles and rhinestone decal, these pieces focused on deep colors and simple lines. A teal suit set with deep velvet allure and a dangerously seductive floor length black dress with large ruffle accents were particular highlights.

A bridal dress was the last piece of the collection to show. In a gorgeous peachy white, the dress featured a beautiful pearl framed neckline and matching pearl and collar, tasteful full length sleeves, and a floor length skirt belted together with a simple satin ribbon. The finishing look was the perfect way to end the latest collection for Spring/Summer 2024.

Ohio-based and member of the CFDA, Anjali Phougat utilizes her fashion industry experience in multiple endeavors. In addition to the Dream Design Collection of luxury Indo-Western appeal, she offers stylist expertise, with a special focus on contemporary womenswear.
She has also produced an award winning short film at Cannes Film Festival 2021 called Inclusion Through Unity, and dresses individuals for beauty pageants all over the world – including multiple Miss Universe contestants.
