Hybrid fashion production house and fashion show producer Runway 7 showcased a collection of emerging and established designers to present their latest and greatest for Fall/Winter 2023 fashion. Their shows run in parallel to New York Fashion Week and with big names like Naeem Khan, Stephen Goudeau, Barbara Hulaniki and Susanne Bartsch, you know a three day fashion event from Runway 7 is going to be good.
This past NYFW for Fall and Winter Fashion 2023, the selections were even greater than last time with a whopping 45+ designers. Runway 7 has definitely upped the game this year with the latest in teen and young adult fashion, swimwear, evening wear, menswear, bridal, street fashion, emerging designers to keep your eye on, and all with their core focus on philanthropy and giving back.
Masal
Ready-to-wear bridal brand Masal, showcased their latest collection for Runway 7 audiences. Masal prides itself on a wide assortment of accessible, beautiful dresses for any individual’s preferences and for all body types. Their showcase included a variation of wedding gowns with floral sleeves, sleeveless bodycons and sheer shawls.
Many styles included a layer of sheer floral or lace overlays on the bodice of dresses. Satin and off-white bridal dresses also made a showing as well as the romantic inclusion of a flattering square neckline.
Makarassi Couture
Makarassi Couture is an evening and bridal fashion brand founded by Abdoul Aw and refers to the title used before the Aw surname that comes from the Toucouleur ethnic group located in the Futa Toro region of Senegal. The brand reflects their cultural heritage by focusing on empowering individuals with beautifully designed and crafted gowns.
Their latest collection featured glamorous and highly detailed evening and bridal gowns in an assortment of styles. Each piece was meticulously designed with each application of gemstones, feathers, lace and velvet materials.
Dream Design Collection
The Dream Design Collection is the Indo-Western luxury brand founded by esteemed designer Anjali Phoughat. She brought the latest in their bridal and evening wear design to the Runway 7 stage for Fall Winter 2023 fashion.
The showcase was a cross of bridal and evening wear, featuring extravagant gowns with gemstone embellishments and gold mosaic patterning. Gorgeous jewelry and headdresses were paired perfectly with each outfit.
NYC Glamour Couture
NYC Glamour Couture is a luxury couture boutique based in New York City that offers a wide collection of custom and couture level evening wear and bridal gowns. Their showcase for the evening featured an assortment of extravagant gowns and bridal dresses featuring designer details including accentuated shoulder pads, gemstones and accessories such as boas and veils. The beautiful detailing speaks for themselves as a succinct display of refined extravagance.
The showcases of the weekend could not have happened without a huge backing to support it all. From the amazing selection of models from Famous Talent Management, the official makeup artist AMA , the official hair team Rogue House and the official model glam location Sicily Osteria. You also cannot have a production without food and water which was taken care of by catering partners Greek Eats and Ess-a-Bagel and hydration sponsor RX Water. Lastly, NYFW is about enjoying fashion in a party environment, which means you need a place to stay and a place to party. Nightclub venue MUSICA was the official after party partner and model casting venue for Runway 7.
