Hey New Yorkers! Happy new year and the forecast says it is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Who really wants to go outside in the freezing weather? Not I, nor my dog. She cries every time I put on her winter coat. I relate, as I too, cry internally every time I zip up my jacket and brace myself for the arctic blast. I went searching for alternatives to puppy pads (who really wants to touch a pee pad) and I set my sights on the world of DoggieLawn. As the name suggests, this grass patch is to live inside your home so Fido can do their business without stepping in snow.
My dog felt skeptical of the DoggieLawn at first. She sniffed around the grass, even started to dig at it, but she would not budge to use the lawn. Luckily the company includes a spray that encourages dogs to use the bathroom without any harsh chemicals. After this learning curve, my dog is obsessed with relieving herself whenever she wants.
