Achieve Ultimate Pet Parent Status With These Dog Brands

April 28 is National Pet Parents Day, a.k.a. another excuse to spoil your favorite pup. Check out these brands for high-quality apparel, treats, supplements, and more—all approved by a dog mom (me) and her very picky companion (my goldendoodle, Luna).

SparkPaws

SparkPaws creates functional and comfortable pet essentials at affordable prices. I love their Comfort Control No-Pull Dog Harness Set ($97), which is designed for larger breeds and contains everything you need for your dog’s daily walks. The harness has three rings: one discourages pulling, the other is great for everyday use, and the last is for running. The neoprene leash is soft on the hands, and the matching poop bag rounds out the trio.

The colorways are unique, too. I opted for the 90’s Retro in shades of pink, purple, and blue, but other ombre options include Pastel Icing, Snow Cone, and Lime Wave. For a classic look, opt for a simple Lilac or Army Green.

Finn

With all-natural and vet-approved chews, it’s no wonder Finn is leading the pack in the pet nutrition market. Their supplements range from anti-allergy to probiotics to vision, and Luna and I chose to try out Skin & Coat ($32). They promote a shiny coat and healthy skin, with an impressive ingredient list of Alaskan salmon oil, biotin, omegas, and vitamins.

When the package arrived at my house, the beef-flavored chews immediately attracted Luna’s attention. The company suggests adding the supplement to your dog’s food for the first few weeks so your dog can adjust; after that, you can give it to them like a regular treat. The tin packaging is simple and modern—I only wish my supplements could look that cute.

Natural Farm

One of Luna’s favorite treats is cheese, so I’ve been eyeing the Himalayan Yak Cheese Chews ($21) from Natural Farm for a while now. They’re rich in protein and calcium and are also lactose-free, so they won’t upset your dog’s tummy. Since they’re quite tough, they promote good dental health and will keep your pup occupied for a while.

Natural Farm places a huge focus on sustainability and all-natural ingredients. The company is also committed to contributing to environmental and social causes. For example, a tree is planted for every online purchase, and a portion of their funds goes toward rebuilding a dog sanctuary in Brazil.

FURB

If you’ve ever wished that your dog’s products could be as aesthetic as yours, look no further than FURB. Luna already loves their collars, but I recently broke her food bowl and wanted to find a worthy replacement.

All their bowls are minimalist and neutral-colored, so they easily blend into any type of decor. The Fleck Off Set ($58) is handcrafted with beautiful speckled ceramic, meaning every piece is unique in color and patina. This set in particular comes with one matte and one semi-glossy bowl, and they’re dishwasher safe, so you can pop them in when they need a good deep clean.
