Caught in the Rain? Think Stutterheim

Despite the sun making more of an appearance this time of year, downpours are inevitable. I don’t let the showers stop me from heading about my day, thanks to chic apparel from Stutterheim. Designed in Stockholm and made in Europe, this premium rainwear brand renders gray days stylish.

Before heading out the door, I step into the Chelsea Rainwalker boots. They are handmade with 100% natural rubber that molds around the foot. Splashing in puddles is easy with these boots that have kept my feet dry and cozy, thanks to their cotton lining. I wear them with fuzzy socks on colder days, and with thin socks otherwise to help my feet to breathe. The rubber grip sole keeps my feet from slipping and sliding all over the place. These Chelsea Rainwalker boots are the best rain boots I’ve worn this spring and summer, and I look forward to wearing them in the rainy autumnal days ahead!

Umbrellas are not my personal favorite. I like having my hands free to swipe my Metrocard, carry bags, or to hold hands with friends in the rain while skipping in the park. The last one might be a bit of a stretch, but with the Mosebacke Opal Raincoat, it can be! This A-line-shaped raincoat is designed with the female body in mind. I’m pretty petite, so it’s the perfect size, and keeps my body dry without drowning me in fabric. The coat’s fabric is ultra-shiny and durable – no water can seep through! I wore this raincoat during an outdoor concert during a thunderstorm and the only part of my body that was wet? My face, from the tears streaming down it.

Stutterheim: the one and only rain gear you’ll need, because it lasts a lifetime.
